Which German set would you recommend for Stukas?

John, do you mean which one of the True North models I would recommend or which company would I recommend?

Early war I would go with the -B model. I would go with the -D model for mid-war on. I would only go with the -G if I needed a tank killer.

I prefer the Eduard kits but they have some small parts and I think they're out of production…but they have lots of nice decals and two-kits to a box. picture picture

The Battlefront minis are okay and come with decals and options for the -G or -D. They're a bit more expensive though. picture

The only True North Stuka I've built & painted is the -B model. It's okay as far as looks go. The parts went together well. The price is right. I don't think the kits came with ordnance (used some leftover BF minis on these). picture picture

I don't believe I've worked on a GFI mini-figs stuka so I can't comment on it.

Errr, I meant which True North decals. I have three of the GFI models, which I have assembled and primed, and need to decal up.

Amazing how much leaving out one little word matters… grin

John, I've pretty much had my fill of German Stukas so I recommend DRO01 Romanian Crosses or DHU01 Hungarian Crosses.

But since you probably want me to be helpful here's what I've got… I do not have a GFI Stuka but I know it's smaller than the TN Stuka.

DDE02 German Bomber Decals: I have a set. The crosses on the upper left section are huge. The ones on the upper right less huge but still big. The crosses in the center section would probably work on your Stuka. The decal sheet does come with letter that you can use for the AC codes.

DDE01 German Fighter Decals: I have a set. The crosses would fit on the wings but would likely be too big on the fuselage. There are numbers but no letters so you wouldn't have the ability to make AC codes.

You may want to go for a mix of the two and base the mix on the number of AC you have.

Thanks Kevin. I sent a link to the guy who will be picking them up, and let him decide. His planes, after all.

Too bad OG put all the German decals (bar the fighter) as one, the "Bomber decals" were meant to be divided as (left to right): Bomber decals (HE 111, JU 88 etc), ME 110, JU 87
