Gents,

FYI
I just saw that my local Target was discontinueing & discounting the 1/72 FoV stuff.
My store had the Blackhawk Helecopter & the WW2 Landing Craft for $11. USD

You are an evil man! Now I have to go spend more money. :-)

Fortunately, they will most likely only have things I already own a ton of, as Target seems to select one or two models for each store/region, then make sure that nothing but those are ever shipped there. A very efficient way to lower sales!

I've wasted a LOT of gas going from Target to Target to try and find FoV models. Only ever found one Black Hawk, and it wasn't the one I wanted. I gave up on them then since they rarely seem to carry much and it's always hidden pretty well. I do mail order now and I've found some pretty darn good sales along the way.

Stopped by one on my way home today. Sadly, no Blackhawks left.

Rumor is that Target will be no longer selling any of the FOV, sad to hear it was great while it lasted.

What does FoV stand for?

zoneofcontrol05 Aug 2009 2:22 p.m. PST

"What does FoV stand for?" But of course it stands for Flames Of Var, my silly dahhhling.

FOV stands for Forces of Valor, a range of prebuilt/prepainted military vehicles and figures in different scales.

Target will no longer carry the FOV range, but will carry "Bravo Team" which is from the same parent company as FOV. Bravo Team will only be modern era and in 1/72 and larger scales, exclusive to Target stores. Less detail than the FOV range, but pretty cheap at only $4.99 USD per 1/72 vehicle.

I saw a bunch of the Bravo Team stuff last night. Had an M-1 Abrams, Apache, couple of LAVs, an M113…didn't look too bad at all. I don't game modern but if I did, these would rock.
