Wasn't there supposed to be a public announcement some time ago regarding their future? Have they just disappeared? Dan |

Sounds like Old Glory picked them up and will announce it soon. |

Really, CPBelt? That would be fantastic news if true, since True North Productions/Miniatures was just about the only manufacturer that had an impressive range of 15mm WWII Polish. I bought some packs of their cavalry when the company was owned by Dave Jackson, but now I can't find them. Might have to "go back to the well" for a refresher order. |

At Historicon will also be adding something new that the Army Card will apply to, and that is the True North line of 15mm Early War miniatures. We will be announcing in a few days here some 40 new codes that were added to that line. That's the quote from the other thread. I've never seen them. How do the figures compare to Peter Pig, which make up my WWII skirmish armies? |
Saginaw | 08 Jul 2009 9:57 p.m. PST |
If I remember correctly, True North Minis are just a hair's breadth taller than Peter Pig, but they should mix well with no visual problem. TNM also made 15mm Dutch, in both helmet and straw hat. Both would've been in use during the Japanese onslaught in the Pacific. "40 new codes that were added to that line?" I wonder what was expanded on or added? Thanks, CPBelt! |

I hope they keep the decals and planes. And, also expand the planes to include a P-39. |
Dave Jackson | 09 Jul 2009 8:08 a.m. PST |
Joel said there would be 10 new planes added. That will most likely be some Pacific stuff (Devastator, Hellcat, Helldiver, Corsair
maybe a P39, but I am not sure, and a Claude, if I remember my lists correctly) and the reconnaissance planes, (Storch, Taylorcraft Auster, Piper Cub, PO 2) As far as the "40 new codes", that might be all the early war Russian stuff that I never had the chance to put into production (and maybe the Hungarian armour, but I think Don had that in production). They were all in master mould form when I sold TNP to Don. |

Hiya, Dave! Great to see you here at TMP! Early war Russians? Sounds like Winter War troops. If I remember correctly, John was building up some Russian and Finn armies some time back. BTW, how did they go, John? As for the planes, 1/100 or 1/144 scale? |
Miniatureships | 09 Jul 2009 8:41 a.m. PST |
Dave; The new releases include the Early war Russian stuff, trucks, prime movers, artillery, as well as the Hungarian tanks, which Don did not release. Plus, three polish tanks, the two Vickers 6 ton and 7TPdw twin turret. Right only three of the 3 of the 10 new planes will make to Historicon as I am out of time to make any more production molds. When will the aircraft and decals be listed on your website, Joel? Dan |
Miniatureships | 09 Jul 2009 12:14 p.m. PST |
Teresa is still working at getting every thing listed. We have all the decals, and will being putting them up as soon as possible, but I doubt that all of them will make it up before Historicon. You can email Teresa at oldgloryshipyard@gmail.com, and she will email back a catalog of all the True North products that we now have available. Joel |

Saginaw, I have way overdone it with my Finns, which means that I don't have enough. I have also collected far too many Russian infantry, and the rest in a completely non-rational way. Which sounds right for winter war Russians. I have to get them some sucky early war tanks for the Finns to steal. Err, make that "capture"
|
Dave Jackson | 10 Jul 2009 5:51 a.m. PST |
Thanks Joel, yes, the rest of the Polish stuff will be most welcome! Russian stuff will be just vehicles etc as Joel states. I had wanted to get the infantry, hy wpns and cav done as well
..all in the early helmet etc. Saginaw, thanks for the kind words, planes are 1/144. |
