Do the Crusader Normans and the Perry Crusaders go well together size wise? Thanks. |

Perry Crusaders are smaller and slimmer than Crusader. They can be mixed but in units are not an ideal combination. I have on occasions used Perry Crusaders with Artizan Carolingian figures. I do mix Artizan and Crusader Vikings in units as they are almost identical. Mick |

I agree with Mick's comments. The Perry's are slightly slimmer, but I think they go well. I haven't added any to my Crusader army yet, but I plan to in the future. I don't think it's that big of a difference. Here's my Crusader Normans: link |

Interesting I like the Perry's a lot and find them a good size but I will pick up some of the Crusader ones and see how they go. @Nycjadie Very nice job I like the look of the minis and you did a good job painting and basing them. |

Take a look at my Battlestandard range
there is a comparison photo in the gallery that shows Battlestandard Normans ina line up of the main competitors (Foundry, OG, BTD, Crusader). They size up well, and if you're looking for a nice mix, they work!!! |

And at $1.50 USD per piece, they are still among the most competitive in price!!! (for 28mm that is). |

I went with Perry and mixed a few of the Crusader figures in with my Normans. The Crusader figures are more rounded but provide some good poses and character figures – two guys carrying the suit of armour are great. I think the Perrys are amazing with a sufficient range to provide ample variety (and great horses). But I also really enjoyed painting the few Crusader figures, suited a cartoony style with plenty of space for black lining between clothing and accessories. Might be best to pick one or other and have the majority of the army the same. |

Hi I have Perry stuff (for the Crusades). I bought a few Crusader bits on ebay but ended up not using them as they are quite a bit different (not bad – just different). I'd go Perry – a real doddle to paint. See here: link |
