Hello there.
Over on the Lead Adventure Forum we've just finished the third season of the Lead Painters' League. This is a painting competition with a league format. The original idea was to encourage painting to as a high a standard as possible while at the same time keeping productivity high. This way it trains us for assaulting our lead mountains.
To accomplish this the competitors enter a new team of at least five figures each week, and are paired off in one-on-one vote-offs. There are various little extra complexities, but that is the league in a nutshell. Everyone is welcome, whatever the skill level, and it is mostly for fun (the prize is awarded to a random participant rather than whoever tops the league).
Well it's all finally over. I painted 83 figures over the ten weekly rounds, which for me is a massive jump in output. Anyway, I realised that a few of my old TMP mates are not members of the LAF, so I thought I'd post a gallery of my entries, so you could have a gander at what I've been up to for the last ten weeks:

(Click on where it says Plynkes' LPL Season 3 for the gallery, or if you're not interested in that, below it I have thoughtfully provided a gallery of me modelling part of my collection of stylish hats.)
I finished 10th in a league of 46, which ain't bad considering some of the folks I was up against, and I won more that I lost, which is something.
I was asked to post some close-ups of my Shakespeare-themed entry, so you may as well look at that while you're over at the LAF:

To see the rest of the entries and the previous seasons, have a mooch about in the pertinent board, you can access it via the LAF home page. And next time we have one, why not join in? (I must remember to post about it here when that happens.)
