A little while ago I found Davout`s Journal on Googlebooks… I saved the pdf but now I`m thinking that the text file would have been more useful and easier to work from.
Can anyone email me a copy please?

Mike.

If you are using Windows, open the pdf, then go to SAVE AS, and change the file type to .txt. If will loose the formatting, but be much easier to search.

Perhaps:

Opérations du 3e corps: 1806-1807: rapport du maréchal Davout, duc d'Auerstædt by Louis Nicolas Davout, duc d'Auerstaedt; editor Leopold Charles Davout, prince d'Eckmühl d'Auerstædt. Published by C. Lévy, 1896. 385 pages:

It is also available on Internet Archive – it can be saved in various formats including.txt through the web site:

The google is a snippet view only for me… but, I think that the Internet Archive is where I got the file from originally…. it has the same file name as my pdf; "oprationsdeecor00davogoog"

Thanks Steven and thanks Mr. Steel for the tip !
