Care being anymore specific about the interests in question, eg. whether he is looking for the OOB of the Danish, Dutch or Greek military or something less mainstream?

Blitzkrieg: Armour Camouflage and Markings, 1939-1940 by Steven J. Zaloga

Excellent OOB source particularly for the French,Belgians, Dutch, Poles, and Brits. A bit more generalized for the Germans, Russians, and Italians. Aside from the color plates, the text is very informative.

Try
"The Gamer's Guide to WWII Small Unit Organizations and TO &Es" being a collection of organization charts and bits of data useful to the WWII gamer…compiled and presented by Bill Rutherford. This 34 page booklet with three hold punch was produced at Battle Honors/Quality Catings (oldglory15s.com)

I reference this dcoument frequently. There's a bibliography included.
