Hello everyone. This is my first post here at TMP. I came here for a bit of help. I have for some time now, wanted to create a miniature wargame that works much outside of the normal Tolkien or even human fantasy. I heard there are some good minds here and I'm looking for anyone to help with fluff, rules, game mechanics, sculpting, sketches, or even just a good idea. If you think you fit that description, please head over to aethernw.proboards.com Thanks for considering, maybe I will find some new members here. |

Well, I still want to retain a couple human-like races, but I abhor the obsession with elves, Orcs, Dwarfs, ect. To me it's just tall/skinny humans, strong green humans, and short humans. Though I have developed my core races, I am not afraid to introduce more, but no more bi-peds. But I'm rambling. The above site should give you a brief synopsis on each race and the game in-general |

Sorry about that. I suppose this is more for concept design than game design. I have never designed a game, but I have put some thought into rules. I don't have very many details worked out, but I have a general idea. I want it to be a turn-based skirmish game. Maybe a dozen models per side. Each model will act as a unit, with the option to join up. (phalanx) My general ideas are this; D6 based A hex board (I think it's pretty efficient) An ability to knock-back/throw your opponent Shooting and Magic will basically be synonymous, and I do not want them to over-power close combat Lastly an option to Role play. So you can have small pitched battles if you chose, or start with a few models and game after game grow your warband or increase stats. |
