Printing Scenario Maps with Poster Software

You've got a scenario map, and you need to create some hills. Is there some way to just print out the map in very large scale, so you can trace the outline of the hills you need to build? The Editor finds out...

"Historical Miniature Gaming's Biggest Summer Vacation" in Lancaster, PA (USA) July 16-19, will have pre-reg close today (July 3rd) at Midnight (ok, 1 minute into the 4th!) Then it's off to HISTORICON 2009, which is also the 25th Anniversary of the convention.

For the list of events and other special things, go to historicon.org for complete details. Some highlights are below.

War College: Features a "grand battery" of speakers, especially for the convention theme – Napoleon's 1809 Campaign and the Spanish Ulcer – wtih Guests of Honor Rene Chartrand, Dr. Donald Horward and Scott Bowden. Other Guests of Honor will be Matt Eversmann, who will speak on Operation Gothic Serpent (Blackhawk Down), since he was right in the middle of it (his part was played by actor Josh Hartnett in the movie!) Also will be actor Jason Salkey of "Rifleman Harris" fame from the Sharpe series of movies, who will be giving a talk on being At The Sharpe End!

The Sharpe Experience! Besides the talks by Rifleman Harris, there will be items from the original movies, as well as re-enactors of the 95th Rifles, and Meet & Greet Jason Salkey, as a special event just for HISTORICON. This gathering together of movie uniforms, colours of the "South Essex Regiment", and even Mr. Nock from the Sharpe series has never been done before in North America. Don't miss it!

Of course, there are game galore, tournaments abound, and the very popular painting classes as well. All to make your summer the biggest historical miniatures vacation at HISTORICON.

Sincerely,
Bob Giglio, Convention Director – HISTORICON

Hey cool. . . somebody is using my old Colonial Battlefleet rules to run some BSG. Nice to see them getting some play.

Several games of BSG on the schedule, much to the chagrin and tooth gnashing fury of some HMGS purists, i am sure.

Of course, my game is VSF, and that's a heresy too…

Is anyone trying to register today, July 3rd, having a problem completing the process?

I can not get the shopping basket to recognize my selections and allow proceeding to checkout.

I am trying to register my son & a friend of his.

I am already registered.

Anyone else seeing a problem with the shopping cart not updating?

Goldwyrm03 Jul 2009 4:57 p.m. PST

I did it earlier today before lunch and had no problems. I only reg'd myself and got a flea market table for Friday am.
