Lots of zombies but less civilian figures for games it seems. Shouldn't daylight mid-town Urban "Big City" Super battles at least have a large number of civilians initially? Are there any zombie sets where it would be easy to convert zombies to "normal" humans easily? Just thinking ahead

for my civilians i trawl the local toy shops and stores. tescos has many sets with vehicles and figures such as construction workers. the figs tend to be slightly taller than 28mm zombies and slimmer (due to their meat-free diet perhaps)> |

I picked up a pack of the civies from the West Wind (I think) superhero line for that purpose. But I'd definitely need a bunch more. |

There's meant to be a Wargames Factory release soon. It's at 100% so should be ready shortly. link Armed civilians but good for unarmed as well apparently. |

There are 3 different packs of civilians from the West Wind Superheros line. That gives you 30 "living" civilians. Wide varitey of figures including a mom w/ baby stroller and man in wheelchair. I am very happy how they painted up and used in my games. |

I'm always on the lookout for modern, unarmed civilians in 28mm. Not much out there, really. The three Superfigs civilian packs are mixed: some sculpts are good, some not so much. But it's not like they have a whole lot of competition in the market place. I guess the problem is that unarmed modern civilians just aren't sexy, so they don't go into production. Even Pulp Monster's Pulp City superhero line doesn't have figures for them, just plastic "citizen tokens". The forum link seems to be down, Agent Brown. Will the WF pack have the weapons separate, or will they have to be cut off. Al | link |

The Superfigs civilians are not quite the only game in town, but they're close! As Broadsword says, the sculpts are a bit of a mixed bag, ranging from good through decent with a few sculpts straying into less-than-good territory. I have a review of the first pack on my blog, with plenty of pics if you want to take a look. link |

Broadsword: Don't know but the blurb says suitable for unarmed civilians. I'd assume there are separate weapons/weapon arms or the weapons are easy to remove. There'll be pics of the sprues before release so everyone can make up their own mind. WF are good for showing previews of their figs. |

I'm not too picky about civilian sculpts since they serve as fodder for my games. I do like them to be appropriately attired for the period and in 28mm have civs for modern (west wind and mega minis), wild west (blue moon), 1920s-1930s (blue moon, pulp figures, and brigade games), and american revolution/colonial (blue moon). Thug figures also work as modern civilians especially if they have improvised weapons (pool cues, pipe, bat, etc.). |

I'd like to see some futuristic civilians, dressed like the Jetsons. They'd be useful in a lot of sci-fi and pulp games. |

Black cat bases and black hat miniatures have some unarmed civilians and west wind and alpha forge have a few armed with golf clubs and such. |

I got a LOT of my civilians (and zombies) from various clix miniatures. You might want to dig around here for "normal looking" civilians for your games. link link link I bought a squad of 10 cops from the DC heroes clix and an equal amount of cop zombies found in the Horrorclix sections. As the zombies bit the cops they were replaced with cop-zombies. Another thing to remember, you can buy "normal" looking clix and rough them up to look like zombies. In fact I usually buy two miniatures of the same mini to do this
normal with a zombie look-a-like replacement. |

I'm not sure who picked up the line, but Tactical Minis had non-zombie civvies. Of course, most – if not all – were "hostages." I gotta figure out what I'm doing with my sets. Wyatt |

Foundry has a few that will work. Clixs are easy to convert. The plastic is soft and a knife goes right thru them. Rafm might have a few I'm not sure. |

BTW there are some things at GZG, the service is great and they have a huge variety of miniatures. There should be something there you can use. |

@Wyatt Armorcast bought that line from Tactical, along with their excellent line of cops. |

As stated, Clix has a variety of civilians. Most are armed in some way, though. Foundry makes some with ball bats and cocktail bombs; otherwise, they tend to be armed, as well. |

Eureka/GZG and Megaminis have some civilian figures though they list as 25mm, but is that to scalp or eyeball? Besides if they are younger it matters not that they are smaller. Some Hasslefree figures are unarmed so, naked as they are, you just get down to business with the Green Stuff and they will function adequately. Apart from that I have sculpted a figure on a Reaper dolly, with a Hasslefree head to try to fill the gap. I love cheerleaders for my prey, you can bury their hands in their pompoms and noone will notice you didn't bother sculpting any. |
