I could hardly decipher the article, never mind the original cipher. Math just isn't my strong suit! 8>)

There's no math involved. It was just a matter of sufficiently scrambling the text in such a way as to make it very difficult to decipher.

The guy who broke the code made some guesses based on probability and got a computer to do the grunt work. Run all possible permutations through and sooner or later you break it. This is the same method used today to break email and website passwords.

Good thing the cipher didn't translate into "I think someone is trying to kill me! Send help right away!"

Does it indicate that there was deep conspiracy to conceal the fact that Washington was secretly married to a prostitute by the name of Mary and that he actually lived well beyond his reported death in a trailer park on the outskirts of Topeka?

Is it true that the code was cleverly inserted into a ceiling mural at Montecello,showing a shadowy figure of Benedict Arnold standing athe right hand of Washington showing his true significance?

That's the one Mr Xanonce. It was covered up bY a conspiracy of Freemasons and West Point Graduates, and will be made into a movie shortly starring Tom Hanks as Washington and Morgan Freeman as Jefferson.
