Hi!
I'm looking for retailers who might be interested in distributing a scenario book for the napoleon era.

The book, "1808 – The Last Summer", describe 15 battles fought between Russia and Sweden over Finland. The scenarios we present is idle for a "Horse and Musket-player" that want to try something completely different. In 1808 you woun't have the endless lines infantry pushing back and forth across the table, instead you will have just a handfull of battallions and brigades and a lot of space. To win you will have to be able to manouvre and to use the terrain wiser then your opponent.

Does it look interesting? If so, have a look at our web-page
swordandsabre.com .There you can read more about it and also see some samples from the book.

Do you want to sell the book or do you know anyone who might be interested in selling it?

Drop me a line at lars@swordandsabre.com and let me know.

Thanks

As someone who does self distribute a book (we sell Gutshot directly to retailers), I'd like to offer the following advice:

1) Become a paid TMP Supporting member. This will give you access to the special Sponsors Forum, where you can talk to many of the store owners directly.
2) You need to take the time to send personal e-mails to some of the stores out there, particularly those who sell Napoleonic miniatures. Tell them about the book and be sure to include price info.
3) Redesign your Website. I visited it and it was too hard to find the info I was looking for. I strongly suggest you add links for CUSTOMERS and RETAILERS/DISTRIBUTORS. Then tailor specific info to each potential buyer.

Good luck with your book!

M Mitchell:
Thanks for your advices, I appreciate them a lot. I have done some successful e-mailing already; this post was merely intended to identify other possible retailers. I will also upgrade my membership on TMP (why did I not think of that before…).

I will have a look on the design of the web-page. What information was it that you were looking for and had trouble to find?

Mark and Michael – I will write to you later today

Thanks/Lars
