Is the full film available in the US?

Thanks for posting these.

Evidently any relevance to the historical reality, apart from the uniforms, was ignored by the makers of this nonsense.

Nice to look at – I suspect that the makers wanted to get the "Mother Russia" appeal

I had the chance to visit the field once – neat battlefield, not very much there – it is interesting, though, to think about invading Russia with a Swedish army – via Ukraine!

Not bad. Certainly better than any of the Sharpe's offerings! Good numbers, costuming, etc. Note how the extras all look away from their firelocks when firing? If they were my company I'd have 'em knouted!! The cannons left something to be desired.

The uniforms in the video are beautifully done, though. This is not remotely my era of expertise, but they certainly looked good.

It is my understanding that in the black powder days men did turn their heads when they discharged the weapon ??

The uniforms were good but too uniform. What i mean is that they were accurate uniforms of a regiment per side but in reality the variuos regiments had varued uniforms. Something like half the Russian didn't have green coats for example and even those that didn't all have red facings. All of them in the film had green coats and red facings.

But this wasn't too bad. For the worst thing was the lack of pikes. something like 1/4 to 1/3rd of the infantry should have had pikes.
