A friend of mine and I are about to launch a site with about 30 resin items ranging from modern accessories to pirate ships. Our main focus for now would be buildings and scenery suitable for F&IW. These can be used for other settings and time periods of course. We are working on: wood planked cabins a Block House Palisade (stockade) walls out buildings resin figure bases slat fences stone walls barrels rough/irregular crates a well detail pieces like wagon wheels, etc. We will probably branch out and do some Native structures eventually. All of the buildings will have accessible interiors. We will be hand-making a fair amount of creeks, ponds, and rivers. Its fairly enjoyable to do and I like the look better myself. These will be sold as finished pieces naturally. Can you think of anything else that is lacking that you might like to see? Once we have more sculpting hours under our belts we are moving into 15s. |

Bateaux, and other shipping with strange names. I have a stockade fort already, as well as blockhouses, log cabins, etc. So, no need to make any for me! Figure bases? I have no need for resin figuure bases. Fairly close to FIW is AWI. I would LOVE to see 28mm town and country houses, like along the Lexington and Concord roads. Particularly if as you say, the interiors are accessible. Barns and sheds, churches, etc. Well houses? Separate windows and doors would be great for those of us who do our own in foamcore board. |

Useful pieces of the FIW and other similar eras, such as aforementioned bateaux (flatbottomed boats and the like), landing boats, canoes, wagon wheels (for DIY constructions and use on bases)and those items mentioned are a great start. Would suggest those items which span the years are the best business sense. |

I'll echo John, I want the same thing: "I would LOVE to see 28mm town and country houses, like along the Lexington and Concord roads. Particularly if as you say, the interiors are accessible. Barns and sheds, churches, etc." Get going and I'll buy them! |

Back to FIW: * Ranger Huts * Lean Tos * Wigwams * Indian Hunting Lodge * Abbatis fortifications * Big camp fire with slots for victims being burned at the stake * Timber walls a la Ticonderoga * Sleds for winter scenarios * Ranger Whaleboats * Fort Necessity * Skinning Rack * Beaver Lodge * Beached Canoes Resin bases might be interesting if they somehow looked like forest floor. Do you guys have any sample images of your work? Cheers AX

How about a Star Fort? Any chance of doing them in 40mm also? |

A lot of the materials are finished and we are a few castings deep into most of the line already. Pics are forthcoming. We will have the website up and running shortly with pics of everything. We plan on a painted pic, and an unpainted pic with a figure for scale
.for each item. Thanks for the ideas guys. @Doug
perhaps when we round out 15s. I've noted the growing crowd of 40mm musket gamers. |

I'll toss my hat in the ring for a good church and some bateaux/barges. Now if someone would make seperate rowers for all the boats I want, that would be good. I hate buying a boat that only has 4 rowers when it needs 6-8. |

"Durham boats", he said helpfully. |

avidgamer I respect 28mm gaming and 15mm gaming. My French & Indian War army which numbers over 1,000 figures is 28mm. However my AWI army which has over 700 figures and is still growing is 40mm. I wouldn't mind seeing 40mm buildings, etc to go along with my growing collection. New additions are always welcome. Yes, I welcome 25mm and 15mm also but we who do 40mm have a growing place in the hobby also. I do take your remarks in the spirit in which you gave them, as just a light hearted comment, so I'm not getting on your case, however there are actually gamers out there who have a elitist mind set. |

Avidgamer may take the same attitude that I do. If someone is making terrain pieces for 40mm, he is not making it for 28mm. Personally, I have no use for a 40mm Lexington tavern, but I do have use for a 28mm one. So, therefore, "Fie!" and "Pox" on 40mm AWI buildings. Maybe in the far distant future that some dreamers seem to think is 2 years away, someone may design a Lexington tavern, and we just download it to our 3D CAD printer, setting it at "28mm scale", and pour resin beads in the hopper. Until that happens, I begrudge all 40mm AWI stuff! |

40mm gaming is the pox of our hobby. It is only for heretics! Looks away! Don't stare at the carriers of doom! Out out damn spot! :) |

I'd echo a backwoods church in 28mm, and the various watercraft. And I'd love to do Battle Road from Concord back to Boston in 28mm. There are NOT nearly enough AWI houses and taverns and such. |
| Doug MSC | 03 Jul 2009 9:18 a.m. PST |
OK, OK, I give up! I'll keep my 40mm figures to myself and hide in the closest! But every once in a while I will bring them out and tempt you. I know you are really jealous and wish you can build a 40mm AWI army yourself. He,he,he! But I will keep you secret for you. |

Bateaux/Rafts would be great. Separate wagon wheels and wells too. Axabrax already mentioned a Fort Necessity type building, something I'd definitely buy. Whaling boats, canoes and barges have already been done by Redoubt, but some variety is always appreciated. |

<<Whaling boats, canoes and barges have already been done by Redoubt, but some variety is always appreciated.>> I think these fall under the previous category of "not enough rowers". |

The site is live now: foxholeterrain.com We submitted a news article yesterday but there is a 6 day queue currently :) We are filling in the products as we go and I want to retake most of the pics and use a lightbox. The flash we used really washed some of the paintwork out. We've got to get over the whole "initial investiture shock" and then we can branch out. The advice above was very helpful
.much appreciated. We are looking into making both troop and cargo Bateauxs. It turns out they are just a class of boat with lots of variants. We even spotted a version with a swivel gun we are thinking about making. We are not taking international orders just yet. Sorry for the trouble. That is coming soon as well. Shipping is free to the lower 48 states for the month of July! |
