the images are a little fuzzy, I'll try to take some more in a bit: doodlebot.net/redoubt These are the Irrational Designs ships ordered from Shapeways a while ago. I finally got around to painting them in prep for Millennium Con in November! I am super-impressed with the quality of the models. I have mounted them on 3/32 Brass Tubing mounted into a Wooden Disk for a Custom Base. |

They look pretty good. What are these ships made from? |

They are printed from a 3D Printer and are a white, hard Plasticene. |

How durable are they? Do you think they will survive your typical ham-fisted gamer? |

Actually, they're built from laser-sintered nylon dust (which is why they're a little rough to the touch), and they're pretty durable and lightweight. You'd have to work at it to break one. |

They appear very durable and are quite sturdy. I imagine they will hold up at least as well as most of my metal ships. |

Thanks for the info. I have been looking at them, but was unfamiliar with the product. |
