This other thread got me thinking . . . TMP link QUESTION: Do the figures in the Old Glory 15 pack labeled as "Dismounted Boers" (COW12) look at all like this? link Or are they uniformed colonial British that fought in the Boer Wars? Here are the OG sets, but there are no photos, that I can see: link link Do you guys know of any photos of figures from that pack? If the pack doesn't contain figures of the ununiformed sort, could you point the way to the right figures? Thanks. CC |

Works for me! Also look at Legation Civilians from the Boxer Rebellion. |

I do know that COW06 (mounted) from the Zulu line look exactly like that photo. |

If they don't look like Transvaal commandos I'd demand my money back. Boers are boers. slouch hats, civilian coats, rifles and lots of ammo. Uniformed Brits would be listed with the British figures. |

Perfect!!! Then they'll fit right in as safari guides and rogues/poachers stuck in a Lost World. Thanks guys. I'm ordering those right now. CC |

Order placed! I decided to order the following two packs: Boer Wars – "Dismounted Boers" (COW-12) link Boxer Rebellion – "Italian Bersalergi, German Sea Battalion and Civil" (BOX-3) link I have a feeling I should get plenty of interesting variants from among those two, don't you think? CC |

JWomack94, I'm probably going to use one of each pose (max 2 of each), so I'll let you know how many are left over. Dan |

The Seebattallion will have pith helmets and puttees. The Bersaglieri will have feather crests on the sides of their pith helmets. |
Henry V | 30 Jun 2009 6:21 p.m. PST |
The Old Glory Seebattallion are wearing boots without puttees, whether that is accurate or not I don't know. |

JWomack94. Glad to hear that the figures arrived. Enjoy them. I'm still in need of 15mm Victorian women. Anyone know anything about the Lancashire Boxer Rebellion European civilians (see bottom of page)? link How do they look? Would they work ok with the OG 15mm Boxer Rebellion and Boer Wars figures? Thanks. CC |

I contacted Lancashire Games for two of their sets: Boxer Rebellion Civilians BRP1 Europeans with Rifles, Assorted Firearms BRP2 European Women & Children link TMP link This is the description I got from them for the civilians: "The Europeans are generic. The women are in long dresses hair usually tied up in buns, the men are again generic 19th century men in various hats or bareheaded, they are not small 15mm like peter pig, measure a firing civie and from top of base( bottom of his foot) to the top of his hat is 19mm. Hope that helps Alan" Trying to order them right now. CC |

Tarzan characters, porters, pygmies, chieftans and witch doctors, villagers, prisoners, adventurers, missionaries, explorers. More later such as wild beasts, several types of villages, and things for the Congo."
