I wonder if someone could tell me how Museum Miniatures Mongols compare in size to Essex 15mm. I really like the figures but dont want a giants and dwarfs line up. Thanks in advance and all help appreciated.

i would call the Museum larger. Sculpt to a differetn one piece style.

The Falcon UK-Quartermaster Mongols are closeer to essex in size than Museum.

Some Museum are large and some are small.

I think MG series figures are smaller than Ess*x, most especially the horses. I think the PR series are large. I mix the PR series in with Ess*x and find, to my mind, they fit well.

On the other hand some of the PR figures are midgets on massive horses.

All of the Museum cavalry are one piece castings

Some Museum horses are crap, some are very nice. Lots of the figures are illustrated at the Museum website.

The AC range I would say are definitely sized with Ess*x but I don't like most of the horses.

The PR range seems to be Islamic Persians and the MG are pure Mongols.

But both are mixed on the Museum webpage in the same lists.

Very good analysis, dragon6. I have way too many of all of those stashed away. I got frustrated by their incompatibility with each other, and have never taken the time to sort them out against other manufacturers.

I need to dig them out again, and see what would go well with the (former) Gladiator Ilkhanids, which is what I went with for most of my Mongols.
