Smer, the Czech plastic model company, makes some nice sturdy 1/48 Great War Aeroplanes. They have stuurdy struts. Not "beauties" for the model fanatic, they make models that stand up to gaming. Squadron Shop carries them. I have seen a Fokker DVII, a DH-2, a SE5-A, and a few others. |

Testors has a 1/48 Spad 13C and Nieuport 17C for $5.99 USD each. 1/48 WWI planes look fine with 28mm, btw. |

Thanks guys. I found an old Edward (sp?) Pfalz DIII (my absolute favorite WW1 AC) that I've had for 15 or so years and pretty much put it together over the weekend. All I gotta do now is paint it. So I guess I'll buy a SE5a kit at H-con and end up saving about $60! Thanks again, Peter |
