Hi guys! I have a question concerning the French army during the Napoleonic wars. What were the unit(s) raised in the Orléans region during the Napoleonic wars? Or were can I find this kind of info? Many thanks |

Bonjour, I am afraid that you will find this kind of information only by visiting a week or two the SHD facillities in Vincennes. link Even Digby Smith in his "napoleon's regiments" doesn't give this information. Pigeard's monumental book "l'armée napoléonienne" answers partially to your request:in 1811 having their depot in Orleans (which doesn't mean , raised in the area) 113ème de ligne and 28ème de ligne, 121ème de ligne (Blois), 122ème (Vendôme) Cordialement gboue |

SHD or Orléans, why are you asking this ? Units raised in the dept of Loiret, the National Guard of course the Loiret Departemental Reserve Company between the new line regiments raised in 1813 from the National Guard (135e-156e) the 135e received the 9e Cohorte (409 men from the Loiret, 479 from the Eure-et-Loir) but it doesn't mean that it was raised in Orléans |
