I'm looking for painting ideas for specifically Conquest Miniatures Roger's Rangers. Or if there are any out there, a link to some already painted minis.

is a there a specific name for the type of hat the rangers are wearing? Not the beret. The one that looks like a skull cap with a turned up front brim. Was that supposed to be part of the official uniform? I see a mixture of these and berets in photos of reenactors and in drawings of Rogers Rangers, but nowhere else.

I think it's colloquially referred to as a "jockey cap." From what I've seen, the British lights wore them as well--even into the AWI. I'm sure someone will chime in who knows the "technical" name for it.

I really like how you've painted your Rangers; I hadn't thought of painting them with so many colors. I often wonder about the "ranger green" color. I have a Tim Reese Art of Wars CD that shows the "Ranger green" as being more olive colored, but most other pics I see are more like a kelly green or a forest green.

I love that figure, as it made my site in the top five for Google for two weeks, the fine and dandy and lacewars theme had nothing to do with it contary to popular theory down at the club! LOL
