I mean the ones here: link Thanks. CC PS. In case you are wondering, I am planning to use them as large off-world primitives, or as Morlocks, for 15mm gaming. |

I have the trolls -- I would say 15-20mm tall. I can probably dig them out to measure if it would help. |
Cacique Caribe | 24 Jun 2009 1:12 p.m. PST |
I would love that! Thanks. Copplestone's are clearly labeled as being 20-22mm in height: picture But Pendraken and Kallistra do not specify a height: link link I was hoping Pendraken's would be about the same height as the Kallistra ones. Their styles are so similar. CC |
fred12df | 24 Jun 2009 1:27 p.m. PST |
Pendraken ones are about 15-16mm tall -- but they are a bit hunched over -- so if they stood up straight they would be taller. For reference the GW Warmaster trolls are about 18mm tall, and are of a skinnier build. I suspect the Pendraken and Kallistra trolls are the same. Pendraken Goblins and Kallistra Orcs are identical. They are more than just similar, they are the same exact figures, Kalistra's 10mm line is the same as pendrakens but on a strip base, multiple figures per base, for people who play large scale battle games. |

The trolls and minotaurs are big enough to represent those creatures in 15mm gaming, though they are marketed as 10mm figures. The Pendraken and Kallistra figs are identical, as are many other figures in their ranges. |

Aha! Thanks for mentioning that. I thought it was uncanny. I would want them on separate bases, if possible. Thanks guys. CC |

Which ones are these, and how tall? picture picture Are they Warmaster, or simply used for Warmaster games? Thanks. CC |

I use the Pendraken/Kallistra trolls as Morlock type things in 15mm Sci Fi games -they are superb. |

Mashrewba, So you beat me to the idea! LOL. CC |

I believe those are metal trolls for battle of five armies, no longer available I am afraid. |

Ok. I just placed my order for 2 of each Pendraken troll set. Thanks everyone! CC PS. Who knows. They might be the heftier cousins of these guys: TMP link |

Just got my Pendraken Trolls (my "Morlocks") today at the hotel. I don't have a camera with me, so I'll try to give a written breakdown of the 6 variants I got . . . But, first of all, please note that the product codes in the pictures on the website need some correction. The one with the club (right) is labeled as FT3, but it is really part of the FT1 pack: link FT1 Troll with Club – Mixed poses (5) £1.35 GBP There are actually 3 different poses in the pack. * Long hair variant advancing with club on left hand (the so-called FT3 image on the website), wearing "loincloth" * Bald variant advancing with club on left hand, wearing "loincloth" * Bald variant standing with club on right hand, wearing "loincloth" FT2 Troll with boulder – Mixed poses (5) £1.35 GBP There are 2 different poses in the pack. * Long hair variant advancing with boulder overhead (the image labeled as FT2 on the website), wearing "loincloth" * Long hair variant standing with boulder overhead, wearing "loincloth" FT3 Troll Leader (1) £0.24 GBP There's only one pose in the pack. * Bald figure, standing holding a cleaver overhead with right hand. His "loincloth" is sculpted as if it was made of mail instead of fabric. He also wears a fur vest of sorts, with some metal circles sown onto the surface All in all, there are 6 poses. The figures are a bit taller than the Rebel Minis figures I had with me in the room, but that may be due to the thickness of their integral bases. They are very ape-like in physique, with short legs, long arms, broad backs and shoulders, forward-placed heads. First chance I get, I will take pictures and post on my Flickr account for all to see: link I really like the figures. I wanted something that could look like an ape-human hybrid, or a de-evolved human, and I think I found the perfect figures. My only wish is that they had more poses available. Hope this helps. Glad you like the figures, we'll have to get the pic on the website changed! |

Dave, Like I said above, those hooded fellas are amazing for multiple SF scenarios. And they are the right height for 15mm too. And the quality is, well, excellent! CC PS. You should consider coming up with 3-4 additional poses. |

It's not something we've got in the pipeline, but we're always open to idea's. Could maybe do some weapon conversions? |

Cacique Caribe – did you ever get your pictures of the trolls posted? I'd love to see all the variations of the trolls with clubs. |

Robert, When I get home (around Thanksgiving) I'll make sure to take and post photos for you guys. CC |

Sorry about partial hijack, but how tall are the Pendraken minotaurs? Something in the range of 18-22mm would suit me nicely ^_^ |
Boone Doggle | 24 Oct 2009 3:23 a.m. PST |
They are quite small for 15mm minotaurs. No more than 17mm to the eye, 18mm top of head. But they are suitably chunky. They and the trolls discussed above are very nice figures. Among the best of the Pendraken range IMHO. A few here in my 15mm White Witch army. link |
