OK,I am painting three GFI Stukas for a friend, to use in both Flames of War, and Check Your 6.
I find a LOT of images for Hans Rudel's Stuka. It seems he got shot down a lot. grin Is there a "preferred" paint job for him?
Also, does anyone make 1/144 (a/160) decals for his squadron?

The Eduard Models (Czech) Ju-87G came with markings for Rudel's aircraft. I don't see them at the Squadron Shop site right now but you may find one at one of the other online stores.

Apparently, he was also very adept at destroying Russian armor too…..

My friend and I speculated that 50% of all Stuka models built are probably Rudel.
Just like 50% of all Dr-1s built are painted red.

He was shot down around 6-7 times, wasn't he?

Yep. He trashed more Stukas than most Allied AA gunners. Should have given the bloke a DFC.

Well, you are bound to trash some stukas raking in a score like his. You have to recognize he was very good.

I don't think his record of two and half thousand combat sorties has ever been exceeded?

He was shot down or crash landed 32 times.

I don't necessarily recognise he was very good.

I am distinctly sceptical about information on self-publisising (ex)Nazis from the 1950s when NATO was rehabilitating the West German armed forces.

His record can be confirmed. The Soviets even had a bounty on his head.
He was a Nazi, and probably not a nice person. He still has a very good score, one that probably will not be matched.
