Which Vallejo colours would work for some Egyptian T55s and other vehicles? Are there both green and tan colours? Thanks! |

Egyptian sand colour was pretty light, in Vallejo maybe Iraqi sand? IIRC in 67 they only used green disruptive, any old mid green. Mine all have a brown inkwash and a heavy highlight drybrush in a very pale tan (Colour Party 'Light Stone' which is almost white). |

Most Egyptian armour in '67 was plain sand. In '73 you are more likely to find Egyptian armour using disruptive stripes of mid brown but many were still plain sand. Syrian armour in '73 on the other hand used grey and sand over soviet dark green due to the difference in local terrain, lots more vegetation on the golan. In '67 Syrian armour was almost universally soviet dark green even the remaining WWII veteran Pzkfw IV were painted plain green. |
