I'm planning an invasion of various alien species, all looking to kidnap some of those strange & hapless humans, in an upcoming Skank game. I've got acid bleeding aliens, Predators, and some of those 3-eyed little aliens from Toystory. I really need some Greys. I REALLY like these from Matakishi's Tea House

I will third the zombie's line
but as I had already linked them
I guess this is a fourth for zombie smith! :) Tons of character, panache, and verve. The above link for killer robots defaulted to the main page, this one should direct link link

you might also check out the 'Martians' (3 different poses!) that are coming out with Twilight Creations 'Martians' board game at end of June/July? They might even have some at ORIGINS next week, (if we're lucky!)
they remind me a bit of the Crypto 137 character from DESTROY ALL HUMANS or 'Mars Attacks'
only shorter! I've gotten the Griffin greys, Copplestone, Brigade, GZG, Black Cat Bases, Zombiesmith and a half dozen other versions, (including the plastic ones from Shadowbox toys that are mostly oop now)
and you can NEVER have 'too many' grey/gray aliens or Martians
or grey alien martian zombies
who want our zombie babes of course
(and our cows
even zombie cows
).. And I bet we'll see a few more 'series' of them coming out from different folks by GENCON or before Christmas too, if some 'rumors' I've heard come true! I DO wish the Griffin greys would be started up again and some new figures/ltd edition pieces that were released, would be generally released too
(like Griffin grey in mini saucer I got a copy of!)
But Martians/Greys/Grays/Aliens
(and their 'probes' are always 'fun'
BTW
maybe you could glom onto some of the HORRORCLIX 'grey' aliens
three different levels of 'probulators'..just BEGGING for some 'mods' and possibly even CHEAPLY to be had on ebay or thru popular collections??? Just a thought??? Slishfully, Sgt DWW-bartentacle on Tiki-bar duty! |

I use the Horrorclix Aliens. They are easy to convert and have a pretty good generic Grey feel. And the price is right. |
28mmMan | 18 Jun 2009 2:07 p.m. PST |
Greys in another way, the Thrade way! link |
Dentatus | 18 Jun 2009 9:06 p.m. PST |
I have some Griffin Greys. Those Thrade are cool though. Weren't they supposed to make some heavy armored Thrade troopers? |
28mmMan | 19 Jun 2009 3:57 a.m. PST |
Yes they were, around May 2008. Not sure what happened there. I suspect the reality of having a $40K+ rendering machine kicked in and a handful of cool miniature sales $40K does not make. They are most likely wrapped up with commercial accounts to pay the bills. :( |

There were some Griffin greys on E-Bay UK recently |
Pyrate Captain | 20 Jun 2009 9:32 p.m. PST |
I agree, Horrorclix Greys rock! Easily convertible, some come with probes, the heads can be used on other bodies to make hybrids, and they are the closest thing to the real McCoy I've ever seen. |
Warrenss2 | 21 Jun 2009 5:58 a.m. PST |
I might like the Griffin Greys better but for less than a dollar a pop I think I'll go with the Horrorclix ones. |
Cacique Caribe | 21 Jun 2009 8:24 a.m. PST |
"they are the closest thing to the real McCoy I've ever seen." Pyrate Captain, have you seen any real ones then? Kinda brings to mind Independence Day and what one character in the film says about the abduction of Randy Quaid's character. :) CC |

"they are the closest thing to the real McCoy I've ever seen." Nonsense!! They look NOTHING like the real McCoy!!! See
compare yourself

Warrenss2 I agree, not even close

"dam the torpedos if that grey holding the canal probe is just a bit too twisted
made me shift in my chair after a few seconds
" My drink sprayed out my nose on reading that!! No wonder the abductees seen so
disturbed. |
28mmMan | 22 Jun 2009 3:44 p.m. PST |
Ahahahaha LOL Warrenss2

|
Pyrate Captain | 22 Jun 2009 6:34 p.m. PST |
OK, OK! But you'll have to admit they're the spitting image of De Kelly. |
Warrenss2 | 23 Jun 2009 3:58 a.m. PST |
"that grey holding the canal probe is just a bit too twisted" They get even WORSE, 28mmMan!!! picture OUCH!!! picture YIKES!! The smug smile in the last picture really disturbs me
shudder
.. Pyrate Captain, after looking at the images I think the DO look kind of alike. Look at their quizzical eyebrows.

The last one with the elephant canal prod is just too much
anything that needs 22 D cell batteries is way over the top. |
