Hey all

Just to let the people who don't usually frequent the Den of Iniquity that is Frothers there may be a good reason for breaking that particular rule.

The first of two charity auctions has just been started and it's a doozy. The charity is Cancer Research and if you scroll direct to the bottom of this post you can sponsor our beautiful runners direct.

You can find the link here, I believe the only rules for the auction are that you need to be a registered member…

For those too lazy to visit a link unless they know what's on offer I've cut and pasted the current auction lot below…

4 different Mounted SYW Colonels courtesy of Frank and Minden Miniatures
A complete set of all 51 Geezers figures courtesy of Killer B Games
A nice little package of goodies courtesy of Kev & Sally at Hasslefree Miniatures
One each of all standard Golgo Island packs GG1 to GG17 plus the two Legends courtesy of NBFGH and Tony at East Riding Miniatures
A goody pack of miniatures from Artemis Black's
A selection of resin bases courtesy of Geronimo at Fenris Games
A £10.00 GBP gift voucher courtesy of Whiffwaff at Green Eyed Miniatures
A selection of blisters courtesy of Richard at Otherworld
A set of Scunners and a resin 5th Element Taxi courtesy of Bungle
One of Bob Olley's one-off custom-made dead-Scrunt scenic bases!
A voucher courtesy of Tre Manor at Red Box Games
One Monowheel and one Maximilian courtesy of Tobi at Tobsen 77
A rather niftily painted Olleys Armies Shroud courtesy of Mad McGobbo
A Mounted Tales of War Orc from Sc0rcher
4 beautifully painted Chindits direct from the TAG display cabinet
10 blisters of Foundry Orcs courtesy of DaveT
10 28mm paintjobs from me; either from the above lead mountain or your own.
A painted resin T80BV-tank courtesy of Col. Stone

So it's well worth a look, you may have to scan through the pages to find the top bid though.
Bear in mind that you are welcome to bid on behalf of a club etc. so feel free to ask your friends if they want to chip in.

The second auction will start in a few days, it'll be smaller than this first large one but will still contain goodies from such places as Wyrd Miniatures, Gamezone, Dark Age, Guild of Harmony etc. (And another goody bag from me)

The 3 runners in July's Race for Life are below, feel free to chip in something (£2 is the minimum and glady accepted) direct if the auction is out of your particular price range

I forgot to add that if you'd like to add something to the upcoming auction (or indeed to the current giant one) you can contact me at artemis@artemisblacks.com or PM either myself or Dagenhemeast through Frothers or PM me here (you'd be my first TMP PM in fact :) )

Empress Miniatures have now been added to the list of people donating to the second auction.

e-mail sent, can not PM you here as you have a basic no frills account….

Artemis16 Jun 2009 2:42 p.m. PST

Oh, do I need to upgrade for PMs? That'll explain why I haven't had any then :D

Angel Barracks now added to the list of people donating to the second auction!

(And I've just upgraded so as soon as Bill sorts that out people should be able to PM me here should they prefer it)

Black Hat Miniatures now added to the second auction donators.

Artemis16 Jun 2009 3:26 p.m. PST

If this gets too big the second auction might even be split into two seperate auctions.

Quite a lot of charitable chaps out there in the miniatures world!

Zombiesmith added :)

Artemis17 Jun 2009 9:26 a.m. PST

Eolith, Ebob, Studio Miniatures, Newbold, Dragonblood and Antenociti's Workshop all added to the second auction.

The second auction 'may' now be split into two smaller auctions along a fantasy/historical and sci-fi route, we haven't decided yet as we are awaiting the final tally of donations.
