Our club has got all the capital ship miniatures that were present during the battle of Jutland. Now we are looking for a good game system to use for the search phase. Any suggestions? |

Go on eBay and get a copy of the Avalon hill boardgame Jutland. It is a very good search game, and a nice set of "play it on the floor with rectangular counters" game. I just checked, and the Avalon Hill versions available seem reasonably priced. |

Avalanche has a current game available at your FLGS (if you have one) that you can play on a desk (it uses a map with squares on it): link I have a copy and plan to use it to let the fleets wander the seas! I 2nd the Avalanche Press game. Nice rules for the search phase and it's fast play rules could handle the small engagements you might not want to actually battle out. |
