I am slowly collecting Brits and Zulus.

I have 30 Foundry & 5 Wargames Factory Brits.

Will Perry's Sudan Brits fit in with these two equipment-wise? Or do Sudan Brits have markedly different equipment?

Thanks

Matt

Sudan british have a markedly different equipment. the ir the new 1881 valise pattern and the sun helmet has the pagri.

If you're building for the Zulu Wars and worry about details of uniform and kit then the Perry Sudan stuff will not work. But if you're playing fast and loose with such details then go ahead, they're nice minis.

they do indeed look like nice minis.

I want my units to look uniform so I will not mix them, but will probably start a second squad of highlanders, because they look so damn cool! Kilts!

I just found Rapier's site.

they look nice.

Are they big like BTD or redoubt or more in line with Foundry?

Size-wise I would go with Empress Miniatures. You can view my painted versions on my blog:

empress do indeed look nice but are more pricey.

are the rapier figures incorrectly sized to mix in with foundry & OG?

I've decided that Black Tree Design, while bigger, aren't too far off for my eye, but Redoubt miniatures are just a bit too big to mix in (I've got one but I just pretend he in an NBA center enrolled in the British army)

I'm getting an entirely new set of British figures just because I love the Empress so much.

Of course, since I mostly skirmish game, that doesn't exactly mean their fortune is made…

But I plan on buying up ten or eleven packs at Historicon.
