Lost my job. Need to part with my armor collection before having to dump it in the trash.

I have around 45 motorized German tanks (including three motorized prime movers for the 88 flak). These are out-of-production Tamiya kits. These are all built, have seen some use out doors, and are base painted with camo patterns, tires, and other basic items painted. Most have zimmerit made of squadron putty.

I also have a pile of unbuilt kits, mostly for DAK.

About 10 of the tanks are DAK, including customized PZ III with short-barreled 50 mm guns and crew escape hatches in the sides of the lower hull.

The rest are European front kits. 5 x Tiger I, about 8 Panthers, and several PZ IV, some customized to Ausf G.

I need to get rid of all this stuff. I was hoping to find a good home for them somewhere, even if I have to part with them for a song. I have heard of 1/35 gaming, but never seen it.

If anybody on this list has any idea who might make a good home for what amounts to almost a panzer battalion in 1/35, please let me know or contact me at

many thanks,

Bill

Where do you live?

Try Bartertown in the historical section.

eBay might be your best bet.

Yes, where are you?

A couple of years back there was a chap in the U.K. who did a Normandy battle in 1/35th. His name I might be able to dig up his name if you would like to contact him?

I live in San Francisco, California, USA.

Ebay won't work. Built kits are too tough to ship.

I'll try bartertown, but I don't want to barter. I just need to find a home for my old collection.

Hmmmm. Well, if you can't ship them, you need someone close by who can pick them up or you can deliver to, right?

Any possibility that a local hobby shop could sell them on consignment? Or at least find someone who wants them?

I'm the person mentioned above, I do a lot of Crossfire in 1/35, would take some of it, but I'm in the UK!

My son, who lives in Sunnyvale and works in SF, suggests you check with D&J Hobbies in Campbell, near San Jose:
