Whilst clearing out our storage unit and garage we have found some boxes of master castings of Void figures that Kev got when he worked for I-Kore, mostly are figures he sculpted before he went over to working on Celtos. We havent checked them over yet against a current catalogue but i would say that the collection looks pretty complete.

although they are master castings you wont be able to make production figures from them as the IP belongs to whoever now owns Void even though we actually own these masters and can do with them what we wish!
However as they are master castings they are first stage castings from the greens and as such have minimum mould lines and shrinkage ( every time a figure is pressed to make a new mould it can get 5 – 10% smaller and thinner than the original green)

what i want to know is if you guys think that there is a market for them if we package them and sell them or should we just keep hold of them for our 'retirement fund'

If Urban Mammoth etc. seemed likely to continue the "luck" of I-Kore, I'd hold onto them as a hedge against "Stupid Corporation Syndrome" (see Chronopia/Warzone for a prime example).

With the current holders of Void and its descendents still reasonably healthy, its a harder call.

Also given the vast amount of void minis that were dumped on the market I don't think you'd get much for them at least yet.

However if there are some models that never made it to production……

They are nice models. I'd be inclined to hold them in reserve for a really rainy day!

There were some really nifty Koralon models that never got into production… dunno if you could make those and sell them as 'strange snakelike aliens' or somesuch… does the IP count if the minis were never produced?

Hold onto them. I'd bet that a good lawyer could sort out the ownership issues. If you modified them to make new models would there be an issue?

Keep'em.

Hi!

It might be worth contacting the chaps at Scotia Grendel who currently hold the rights for Void. They might be interested in making you an offer for them…

Personally, I'd be inclined to hang on to them – I think that as excellent as the sculpts are, someone will eventually do *something* successfull with them, and at that time, the masters will be more valuable than they are now.
