Are you looking for a Weird WWII landing craft, that has been given special Cthulhu-proof hull reinforcement and magical wards? Griefbringer |

Grand Manner do an LCM in 28mm, but I can't recall seeing LCTs anywhere – a couple in 20mm, but I've not encountered them in 28mm. That said, are you sure you need one? LCTs weren't particularly common in the Pacific, as the transit distances were generally too long for them to be considered ideal. You might be better off sticking with LCVPs and LCMs for your Shermans etc. |

I beg differ om the use of LCT's in the Pacific. The Southwest area(MacArthur's) used them a lot. They didn't island hop across empty ocean like the Central Pacific. They were unlikely to be used in the first assault waves. Still I know of no LCT's in this scale. There was a 1/72 scale model by Lindberg years ago. I would like to see a 28mm miniature ( but it would likely be way more costly than I would be able to pay). This would be a good scratch build project. |

Fair enough – must admit I'm not too familiar with South Pacific ops; hadn't considered the difference in distances. There are a couple of options if you go down to 1/72, with Britannia's LCT VI and Sentry's LCT V, although I'm not sure if the latter is currently available. Larger is probably a scratch-build job, though

In another post, Nappy asked for "LCT – Landing Craft Track". Maybe he's not looking for an LCT (Landing Craft Tank) but something like and LVT which would make alot more sense. |

S and S if that's the case – they have a very nice 28mm LVT4 – don't know of any earlier marks in 28mm. |

Company B does an LVT-2 (42-45) which I'll be picking up. They also do an LVT-4, LVTA1, and a LVTA4. They used to do a waterline model of each. |

Neat – don't know how I've missed them

An LCT for 28's is going to be awfully big – 2 feet or more in length and about 7 inches wide. That's a lot of table space for what is, essentially, a prop. |

2 feet or more in length and about 7 inches wide. That's a lot of table space for what is, essentially, a prop. As a scratch built prop, just building the forward 6-8 inches and have it extend into the oceanic off-board space might make sense. |
