Greetings!

As everyone is no doubt aware, ODGW has had recurring problems with our web site, odgw.com. First there was the difficulty with Internet Explorer. Then an upgrade fixed that problem, only to prove difficult for many to login, including yours truly. We understand your frustration, and share it. Nothing bothers us more than having our loyal following unable to access our website.

We are taking measures to repair the problem. We have begun to rebuild the web site from the bottom up, so that we can put the problems of access behind us, and provide the service our customers and registered users deserve. We do not have a definite date for completion of this undertaking, but will not make the site live until we have thoroughly tested it and know that it works.

Please bear with us as we strive to improve the functioning of our website. Should anyone have any difficulties or questions, or is a registered user who needs particular files, please contact me directly at cinc@odgw.com. I always answer my email.

Cheers,

CinC

Well done, getting the word out, by the way.
I got the e-mail earlier.

So… If I bought the game at a shop (which I did) are all the updates and downloads going to be there as promised and with my old username and password (or do I need to create a new one etc.)

podette,

We maintain the database, and do not delete old members info unless requested. For many members who have not been in touch with us for several years and from whom we have received "bounced" emails, we have turned off their access until we hear from them again with a new email. But it is simply a matter of switching the access back on with the new info.

So go ahead and try accessing the site. If you are in the database, we will have your info from when you set it up, no matter how long ago.

Cheers,

CinC

I was just on the site last night registering my Solomons Campaign suppliment and downloading the updates. I have never had any trouble getting on the site with either IE or Firefox.

Bill, the trouble seems to have been like a random bug from hell. Sometimes it bit, sometimes it didnt, sometimes it wasnt even home. At first I thought it had a personal 'thing' for me, but then others started to report the same problem and they came from a wide range of countries.

Computer gliches can be at their most annoying when there seems to be no reason for them to exist. And that one sure knew how to hide! But fortunately the bug hunt is now in full swing! grin
