Mid Bucks/West Herts area Me: Middle aged role (not roll) player, into intelligent RPGs that reward charactisation rather than "I charge the 150 gobbos with my +3 sword" You: Group of relaxed adults that break the RP stereotype of young spotty males, and who are more into story than XP. |

Hope it turns out for you
that's a quest in and of itself. Try meetups.com . There are a fair number of RPG groups that use the site to coordinate. |

Mid Bucks as in Aylesbury? How would South Beds suit you? Interested in a Napoleonic 'Sharpe' type RPG? If so, get in touch, Richard (rtgamesATntlworldDOTcom) |

Last Hussar – we're in Hemel Hempstead and play a fortnightly RPG. Currently Warhammer roleplayer (power behind the throne campaign) but are not into just trying to level characters, it's more the journey of how they do and the story (or more often tales of disaster/near disaster) we are into. Drop me a line if you like scottmiddleton_uk@yahoo.com regards Scott |

RJT & aBHs- thanks for the offers- I now have to consider how to negotiate time away. RJT where 'south beds'? Even if I can't get out I would like to chat about a way I could contribute- I'm full of RP ideas that have no outlet, so even if I email GMs stuff for them to use. Terrement. I've been in a couple of good groups, though they still had make-weights in. We played a number of different games , so a particular system may only get played once a month. In one of these my mate, to prove the GM railroading, tried to shoot another character, and was flat denied. No excuse, not even the powder was damp, or "are you sure you want to do that?". Yes it is annoying. |

"'intelligent RPGs'?" "Fire & Forget" Rocket Propelled Grenades. Has an onboard tracking system to follow it's target. I suppose you are not looking for the type of players that have a +100 Vorpal Blade and calls their character Sir Veg-a-matic? |

An intelligent roleplayer is one that doesn't need to pull out the +100 Vorpal blade because he bypassed all the traps the DM set for the party. Seen most often in Cyberpunk or Shadowrun, due to the fact that stupid roleplaying is fatal to the stupid, and occasionally to the rest of the party. Either stupid roleplayer gets smarter, or finds new group to play in since he got tired of rolling up a new character every night. |

I like to think of it as role not roll. |
