Can anyone suggest a company that makes cool 28mm mounted Polish Hussars? Thanks! |

TAG, Foundry. The TAG ones look really good. |

I couldn't tell if the TAG ones are the winged kind I'm looking for because the the photos are small, cant make them bigger. Guess I could shoot them an email and ask. I'm off to check out the Foundry goods. |

The TAG ones are winged, two wings. They are very nice figures. The foundry ones are really nice as well. I've painted both. The foundry ones might be ever so slightly better sculpted but they suffer from only having one pose for the figures while the TAG figures have different poses. If it were me, I'd go with the TAG figs. |

I have both the TAG and Old Glory winged hussars
both are nice for different reasons. Foundry's are slightly smaller than either the OG or TAG. If price is no barrier then either TAG or OG but for the money you can't beat OG. db |

IMHO Hinchliffe Polish winged hussars are the best of the lot. I have a number of 6 horse&rider winged hussar units, one-two units each from Old Glory, Hinchliffe, Ral Partha, Redoubt. I would nominate the very large -- heroic -- Redoubt figures to 2nd place behind the Hinchliffe. |

Picked up a bag of the Old Glory ones on ebay, a while back. They are very nice Now ah just have to get around to paintin' 'em <sigh> |

I have units of Foundry, TAG and Old Glory. All are very nice, but Foundry lack variety. Individualy OG are not as nice as the others, but as a painted unit look like a bunch of mad, 'ard blokes charging with a purpose, which is generaly as you will see them on the table. Scott Robinson has a good blog thing with plenty of pics, including the Redoubt Hussars, Tally Ho! |

I have the TAG figures and they are very nice. I can't speak to the other manufacturers not having viewed their products. D~ |

I've got some of the Bearsden 28mm winged hussars, they paint up very well too, and the range works with TAG on another project of mine, so they may be worth a look as well. separate wings and lovely horses. |

I couldn't tell if the TAG ones are the winged kind I'm looking for because the the photos are small, cant make them bigger. I fell foul of that a while back – the TAG website is wonderfully counter-intuitive, but does at least have big pictures – on the individual pack's page, just scroll down
. (I did exactly the same when I first looked at it – the little picture on the left seems obviously a thumbnail to click on for a bigger photo, which it isn't, but there's a larger picture at the bottom of the page

"Who makes nice Polish Hussars?" Nice polish mothers! |

I finally figured out the TAG site, duh, and I like 'em. That and the Bear Den and OG 25's. I'm going to get a pack from them each and see which figs I like the most. I wanted to paint a special one for a Polish friend who thought the Romans I did were cool a while back. Plus I always wanted to get into the Polish/Russo/Tatars/ from that period. A couple of the other suggestions/companies didn't show any photos so that's a no go. |

I make a good (possibly only) cyberspace one. |

Not much use though – you're Last Hussar, which doesn't bode well for anyone wanting a unit
