Hi, Does any company make a PzIII with a short 50mm barrel, in either 20mm,1/76,1/72? Almost all of the companies I've searched make the long tubed 50mm variants. thanks, Steve |

Can't you just replace the barrel or just cut it? |

Thanks guys! Lots of help, I saw the later 'J' model from Hat but missed the earlier model. Great link to Underbed Enterprises, the other store site I was using for Frontline didn't have pics to go with the brief descriptions. Now my DAK troops can have some proper tanks! Thanks again, Steve |

The Italeri fast build model Panzer III comes with both a short and long barrellled 50mm and the model is better than the Armourfast one. link |

I will have some Admiral die-cast Mk III "H" with the short barrels at Historicon if you're going. I'll also have some Admiral "L" Mk III's with the long barrel plus a bunch of Hobby Master (hopefully I'll have the new Opel Blitz trucks in 1/72 by the convention.) Come to the Thoroughbred Figures booth or contact me thru the website. Toby Barrett |

"The Italeri fast build model Panzer III comes with both a short and long barrellled 50mm and the model is better than the Armourfast one." Hey Will! Not being nit-picky, but what in your opinion makes the Italieri "better" than the Hat PzIII. At least here in the US, the Italeri models are about 33% more expensive, so Hat tends to be the way I go. However, I'm willing to listen to details
Is Italeri easier to build, more detailed, or what? Thanks! |

Crunchy Frog is correct, the Italeri is way better. The lower hull sides are correctly detailed including the torsion bars and escape hatch, while the HAT ones are totally plain. Both kits share the same problem though of simplified single road wheels. Here in the UK they are both similarly priced. |

I would say check out Milicast or Cromwell, as they both produce this kit (I believe). In my opinion, the Cromwell models are much better but also much harded to find. Milicast have an online store and are suppose to be very good on service. milicast.com |
