I've had a go at using the Army Painter dip on some 20mm Great War miniatures and am pleased with the result (for the amount of time and effort involved). Results can be seen on the SOTCW Forum:

These do indeed look very good, I must say I think the process looks better on these plastics than the metal minis.

Very nice; those are on my to-get list, and I intend to use a very similar technique.
