I have posted some pictures of the large French vs Russian battle from the second day of our In The Grand Manner game that we started on April 19th. We will return for Day Three on June 24th. Meanwhile, enjoy some pictures and the battle report on my blog (and click the pix to enlarge the view)

The Emperor was pleased with my performance, as I defeated or routed most of the Russian cavalry from the field on the last turn of today's game session. It is almost a running joke of how bad a die roller I am when it comes to rolling "Sixes" in cavalry melees. Well, I'll have you know that 12 chasseurs cut down six Russians in one melee turn while losing 2 figures. Next door, a squadron of six lancers cut down 2 Russian cuirassiers without losing a man. The lancers are pursuing and the chasseurs rallied on the spot (and the Guard cavalry is coming up to exploit the breakthrough). Life is good today.

Your figures stand out a mile too…….even though they seem not to have been engaged. And the Dice God was smiling on you as well.

Great figs, great game – always nice when the Dice God is on your side as well
