Wow, if I was a advertiser or a stakeholder in some respect, I wouldn't be giving this guy another cent. Talk about picking up your toys and going home

My guess would be that in recent months the site has been up and down a few times due to money issues and conflicts with site hosts; the site owner announced he was done with the site because it wasn't supporting him monetarily and offered it up for sale (adding that he thinks it can be a money machine in the future); while offering it up for sale and making it seem like (in his own words) he has difficulty committing to projects he was asking for a job. Now it seems that he's getting some investors or something so he may bring it back. I visit that site often and think it is great. But like the Bean, I wouldn't advertise or invest in it unless there was a change in 'management'. |

I have had many trials and hurdles to overcome with my new company, so I can understand his flustration as the site owner of TGN. And I think that was all it was throwing up his hands and saying someone buy this or I'm just going to pull the plug cause I don't know how to make this all work anymore. When you have problems with uncooperative host site managers, and a million other things beyond your control you finally get to the point where its just better to say its time to walk away then it is to keep struggling on. I am sure it was just 6 months or so ago when he had to migrate the entire site to a new server just to keep it open and now it needs to be done again. Everything in life these days is a million times harder then it should be

I use both TGN and TMP for press releases, and Zac and Bill have always treated me well. As a small business operator, I understand Zac's frustration, sympathize, and wish both he and TGN well in the future. Further, I NEVER saw any issues that impeded on my willingness to use Zac's site as a venue. Small companies need multiple friendly sites such as these two, so the loss will be sorely felt. |
