Holy crud that's film-tastic.

Big Red29 May 2009 11:41 a.m. PST

Holy Crappoly is right! Epic hardly covers this – the dog pack is bigger than my unit of companions. And this is in someone's house??? I need to get out more.

Would it be possible to elaborate on the game such as background?

Thanks for sharing.

Great looking game!

What rules did you use?

How long did it take to play?

Who won?

Bit of commentary on the course of the battle? Looks like main fortress and a smaller fort besieged, but with allies or reinforcments for the defenders arriving?

Phew; what a lot of figures and eras! A very impressive show, I love the battlefield and all the palm trees.

Oddly I thought some of the BTD minis came out particularly nicely, I loved the Praetorians in white, and the testudos.
Who made the elephants?

Simon

Very well done! This is the kind of thing that really helps to sell the hobby and inspire people to buy figs and paint.

Outstanding stuff .. What I would like to know is who the manufacture is of the ancient naval ships?

Great stuff Joe…Unlike just about every other Ancients game I've ever seen this one looks exciting! As for the terrain and figures…..Utterly Brilliant

DeanMoto29 Aug 2009 10:41 a.m. PST

Amazing stuff – figures & terrain. Dunno what period this was – or out of period, but still absolutely fantastic looking game. Incredible paintwork – everything from bananas to howdahs! Excellent, Dean

would of been nice to get a mention as at least 50-60%
of the figures were painted by me,
still never mind ,least someone else didnt get the credit for my work again

mgaffn111 Jan 2010 11:07 a.m. PST

size and scale is amazing.
quality of miniatures is even more incredible.
well done.

krasturak11 Jan 2010 4:53 p.m. PST

I am curious about the ship models.

Can you tell which kits you used for those?

Joe Dever19 Jan 2010 6:42 a.m. PST

To Bob Kiff:

I am delighted to give you credit for the figures in this feature that you painted. I was genuinely unaware of your contribution and I hope this statement makes amends. I would also like to convey my utmost admiration for your work, it really is first rate. I very much enjoyed gaming with your painted miniatures 'in the flesh', as it were. I wish you every success in the future and can heartily recommend your service to gamers looking for top quality painting. Please feel free to post a link to your commercial service on this thread.

a real pro painter21 Jan 2010 12:34 p.m. PST

hi joe,
thanks for that,no probs at all,
i do not bother with a website as i get all the work i need
by having a trade stand at salute, and my figures can be seen in the flesh there.
regards bob kiff

Having a great layout like that can set the pace for an inspiring game. The effort put into that is amazing.
