Not I…

I looked at the game but did not play. Strange a plexiglas case sat next to the game. Some of the game miniatures were inside mounted on data cards? The game was being played with thumb tacks stuck into data cards being moved about. Interesting figures but was turned off by the thumbtacks. First impressions are everything and I think this one missed the mark. Not sure what was going on really, sorry!

Not the best way to promote a new product. Not what I expected from these guys!

Wells Expeditions was at Enfilade to play test Arcane Legions. The actual game doesn't release for four months and there are no production miniatures to play test with currently. Admittedly, it was a poor aesthetic display, and if you were not actually playing it – I'm sure it would leave you ambivalent. However, the people who have played it have loved it, and have said so with reviews and comments on numerous sites, including the Arcane Legions Facebook group. First impressions are what people saw at GTS last month. There was a very positive response, many people calling it the best new game at the show. Next it will be Origins in a few weeks. Watch for feedback then, as this is the first time people will really be able to play the game, with actual production figures. Then of course it's off to GenCon where the game will officially have pre-release product for sale. The actual street date is September 30th.
