Subject: Arado Ar-234
Manufacturer: Air Alex airalex.com/KITSFORSALE.html
Scale: 1/144
Medium: resin
Price: $16 USD

The kit consists of a one piece fuselage/wing/tail assembly, the intake and exhaust portions of the engines, landing gears, and two canopies (clear or a light-tan resin). The kit comes with decals and an instruction sheet too picture . The mini required a little cleaning, trimming, and putty but nothing too demanding. The hardest part for me was was getting the parts that make up the canopy to line up the way I wanted them to. The kit has outlines identifying the canopy frame (by the time I was finished messing with the front of the fuselage I had completely filled & filed away these lines). The control surfaces are also outlined. Since this mini is meant for gaming I filled-in the landing gear wells.

Recommendation: Nice mini, I recommend it. Modeling skills are required as it does need some filling, trimming, and assembly. If you read the text on the Air Alex site you'll note that they consider their kits "challenging". But, they also indicate that they are willing to help out if things go wrong.

Check out the Air Alex website (first link above) as there are some very interesting models there, many not available in 1/144 any place else.

Post assembly:
Decals: Air Alex decals that came with the kit and a couple from the bits box.
Paint: Vallejo Model Colors
Primer: Rust-Oleum Gray Automotive Primer
Matte Finish: Krylon Crystal Clear Matte

Interesting way they cast it. I'll have to admit it doesn't look attractive in the box…
