Lovely stuff as usual from Eureka. Alan Marsh is the man. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Thank you for posting the pictures. I have been waiting a long time to see the cavalry.

I'm highly anticapating the arrival of my Saxon Dragoons and Musketeer Fifers, as Nic notified me their on the way.

As an aside do you think the Cuirassiers in this range can be used to represent the Garde Karabiniers as they appeared with Austrian forces?

Altefritz05 Jun 2009 3:41 p.m. PST

IMHO yes.

Yippee.
Now I can put together an Austrian army supported by Saxon cavalry and a Saxon army supported by French cavalry.
Anyone know what ranges of 28s will likely fit with the Eurekas?

Hi
I know Perry's do (though they don't do SYW figs), so I expect Foundry will.

Looking at the horses for the Saxons I was wondering if most people drilled out the solid bit that joind the two halves of the reins under the horses kneck?

And if so how you go about it. With their 15/18mm horses I don't bother but it seems more noticeable on the 28s.

I just cleaned up the Bruhls tonight. These are much nicer than they appeared on first examination. Lots of subtle variety and very clean sculpts. Can't wait to get them painted.

Let me know whether you opened up the reins block and if so how easiy was it.

I'll be having a go at the Garde Karabiniers and probably the Prinz Karls first up. Followed by the Bruhls and Prinz Albrechts.

Just have to finish the 18mm Chasseurs and Cuirassiers currently on the painting bench.

Who has painted that Kettle Drummer. Anyone know of or could point me in the direction of a reference?
