But first I'd need to know if they are compatable with 1/72 plastics as what I'm looking for is to complement my plastic armies.
TIA

A lot will depend on what you are gaming? Europe, Africa, Asia/Pacific?

blacksmith18 May 2009 3:58 p.m. PST

Oh sorry. Basically Normandy 1.944

SHQ and AB minatures would probably fit in better with 1/72 plastics.

Britania Miniatures are a bit too bulky figure wise, but they do have vehicles that would be useful.

If it is vehicles/tanks you want there are more options.

I supplement my 1/72 scale NWE plastic figures with SHQ, Platoon 20 and FAA. AB would work too, although I'm too much of a cheapskate to buy them;-)

TQD castings and Martello International minis have been sculpted to be used with with 1/72 plastic models, links:

And what about Fantassin?

HobbyGuy19 May 2009 2:11 p.m. PST

Fantassin are excellent and would fit well.

In addition to what's been mentioned you can use:

Battlefield Miniatures
Blitz (same mfg as Battlefield)
Combat Miniatures
Elhiem Miniatures
Kelly's Hero's
Shell Hole Scenics
Sojers

And to a lesser extent:
Raventhorpe (a little large)
Dixon (a little small)

Of course Blacksmith now you also have a fantastic range of pre-painted vehicles to choose from too.

We produce a small range of pre-painted HaT Armourfast models and also kits. We will build and paint any of our kits range for customers (even those shown as kits and not pre-built)
