What would be the correct colour for NATO british and Canadian trucks? Vallejo colour equivalents would be great!

I apologize for jumping in on this thread but:

Does anybody know the Vallejo equivalent of:
Humbrol 30 Dark Green.

It would be for an Airfix Landrover 1 tonne.

could possibly help, it just shows the Vallejo colour swatches though.

Humbrol 30 seems rather dark for front-line 70s/80s British kit (although it would do for polished-up rear echelon wagons).

I sort ofrecall that the British did not use the NATO 3 color scheme, but used only Green and Black, leaving out the Brown.
Natokina.

Yes, the British Army has used the olive drab and black banded scheme since time began (or so it seems). In drier climates, the black is replaced with sand and in colder climes it's replaced with white.

The green in the NATO three-colour scheme is also MUCH brighter than the olive drab used on British military vehicles – more of a grass or pea green.

I should add that many British softskins are often just plain olive drab, though it's likely that they would receive a slap of black camouflage during preparations for war.
