Are those guerilleros in short leather breeches available? (Not to offend the Napoleonics, but the idea would be to use them as fictitious mountain light infantry for some Lace Wars Imagi-Nation: supposedly if their hat is round-topped their 'folkloric' costume did not change much for the 60 previous years

Maybe some of the Spanish Napoleonic guerrilas would work. sans the short pants of course. |

The dress styles from 1809 should work fine for mid-18th C. In fact, most traditional dress in Central Europe goes back to the late Middle Ages or 16th C. (slash the leather shorts and you've got a Landsknecht's upper hose) |

They are now available from Eureka: link I was unable to find them on the Eureka site, but I encountered very few sites so reader-unfriendly, anyway
For creators of Lace Wars Imagi-Nations I've always thought such men in leder hosen would be great 'fictional' 18th C. mountain infantry / Gebirgsjaeger. The traditional costume of some Swiss cantons was similar: I remember the Duchy of M'uedail theduchyofmuedail.blogspot.com wished to recruit such an unit of high-altitude Helvetians. And -reciprocating DAF's suggestion- those in 'breeches & stocks' could even be used as 'alternate' Fusilieros de Montana scandalusia.blogspot.com . Then, for the 18th C. those in long trousers *look* inappropriate and for me I'd bother to sand down the flat-topped hats to round-topped ones: maybe personal, but I feel the former to 'look 19th C.'? I guess they'll be sold by 'compulsory packs' rather than individually, alas? The monk is funny -and rather atemporal- and the woman loading a musket could probably be easily converted to a vivandiere link

Amazing. Someone who cant use the sites search facility (hint: try entering "Hofer") and who cant see the item about the Tyroleans on the front page of the Eureka site. |

Amazing. Someone who cant use the sites search facility Amazing -enter "Tekumel" and you get 'There is no product that matches the search criteria.'; enter "cataphracts" and the Amazon cataphracts don't appear; &c. &c. ad nauseam. Under the 'Browse by period' menu, no 18th C. entry, so the 'Age of Reason' range is ignored
