I've seen a couple of threads where the general consensus was that BTD's mail order was pretty poor. Has this changed recently? I ask as the son of a friend is interested in their dalek minis. I don't want to tell him I'm getting him some only for them not to turn up.
Edit: Ooops, missed this TMP link
So, is the mail order service OK in the UK?

Still waiting for an order I sent them in August of last year. I emailed, wrote and tried to telephone. Absolutely no response. I would never trust them.

How many Daleks were you after?

I had an order turn up last week from last October so makes me wonder if they have caught up or are catching up. Others seem to have no issue perhaps depending on availability of minis in stock. You could try e-mailing first if for a B day pressie

londoncopper- I'm after 6 or 7. However, if the mail order isn't up to much I don't think I'll bother. If he does like them I want him to be able to expand his collection and don't want a 12 year old to have to deal with poor mail order.

If you can find back issues, #99 of the Dr Who magazines (the new one, not the old one) had a cover-mount of five plastic daleks which are not too far off scale for 28mm; link

It retailed for 2 quid odd, so it's a pretty cost effective way to get loads…

KatieL, that is BRILLIANT, shame i did not notice at the time.

The Dr who plastic collectable miniature game with the spinning to has, amongst other beasties from the show, a fair number of daleks which are the right size and very nice. Also Cybermen and stuff as well as a game to boot.

Try getting the Micro Universe Daleks, they are a perfect size match and a lot cheaper, plus prepainted, Asda had 3 figure sets for 99p recently, just cut the base off and stick on a GW type base and you are done.

I hope so, have just, last week, ordered some more stuff from them!

What does he intend doing with his Daleks? Might I suggest my own humble addition to the Doctor Who gaming scene:

(Mixed results from BTD but luckily never half a year or more!)

Graeme, I downloaded your rules awhile ago and love them. The only thing that has stopped me from playing more is the lack of figures here in the US. I might try some of the ideas mentioned earlier in this thread to try and get some Daleks. Withthe conversion from Pound to dollar it hasn't been real cost effective up to this point.
