Hi All,

Spent a great day over at 19th Century Miniatures. I started out playing in a Greeks Vs Gauls ancients game running the cavalry on the left flank. I Gave a good fight but in the end got pushed back, but we managed to prevail in the center and right flank.

Later in the day played in a Viking Raid game against the Franks. We were attempting to break out from a fortified estuary after sacking a different town from farther up the estuary. Due to this we had to sail down another branch of the river to get back to the sea. It was bloody and fiery but int the end the Franks carried the day.

We had a lot of fun and I am glad I went. I only live about 3 miles from their location and I've been to a couple of other events and they always put on a good show. I would like to thank Steve and Stephen, Jay and Drew for hosting this show. I'd also like to thank all of the guys who showed up. It helped make this that much more fun. Many thanks to you.

Tom,

I think that everyone had a great time. I would like to expand the amount of games and attendees in the future. With the variety of games that we already have, and other attendees are willing to add other scales and periods, we will have even more fun. If anyone is interested in attending or would like more information please email me.

Jay,

Your post reminded me I forgot to mention the other games held In the morning session there was an excellent Kursk game run by Stephen who also ran a Seven Years War game in the afternoon. Folks, if you live anywhere from Detroit to Chicago and as far north as Traverse City please stop on in for their next games day. They aren't that hard to get to and decent eats are all around the area, or within a short drive. I'll be running General Quarters then. Many thanks again Jay for hosting us.

Tom,

No problem. We look forward to more games. Don't forget the Viking raid game and with the TYW game in the afternoon…
