Thanks for the tip! I doubt whether I'll get to California in the next while, but I may try ordering an exhibit catalog, assuming that the museum shop's webpage will load! |

The Bowers is a great teasure. I saw the treasures of Ur there a few years back: Queen Shub-ad's (or was it Puabi--darn that Wooley!) headress, the ram in the thicket, that beautiful lyre. Must update my vaccinations and visa and run down to the OC. Seriously beautiful artifcats (they also had the terra cotta soldiers a while back) from an under-appreciated museum that gets overshadowed by the big boys up here in LA. |

The Bowers had the Terra Cotta Warriors last year and the exhibit was much deeper than the one held at Los Angeles some 30 years earlier – although it was a bit of disappointment that they didn't have a batch of troops lined up in ranks. Wyatt |

The webstore is up! I could easily spend this year's book budget there
now, to find out what postage might cost

I'm gonna avoid the crowd, pay the $12, and see it this Saturday with friends. Afterwards, off to The Olde Ship English Pub & Restaurant for libations. |
