Pirate Game by Mitcham Marauders. Some pictures of the 'Ship Ahoy' game at South London Warlord's Salute show, with ships converted from

Looks cool. Any notes anywhere on converting Lego pirate ships for miniatures use? (Do they grind off all the Lego bumps or cover over with styrene sheet or what? Etc.) cloudcaptain, the Lego Pirates of the Caribbean ships already come with ripped sails. (My 6-year-old has several.) I didn't look too carefully at the above pictures but most likely he just used the Lego sails. I couldn't find a link on the Lego web site, but here's one on Amazon for the Flying Dutchman (which is used in the game linked above): link |

Ah
then they would be Megabloks, not Legos. |

I'll be darned! We've got a half dozen of those sets in the house -- and I've built all but one -- and I never realized they weren't by Lego! Thanks for pointing that out. |

Way Way cool minis and game
– but I fail to see the fascination with / attraction of Pirates, Zombies, Ninja, Nuns with guns, Dinosaurs or Elvis |

Funnily enough I was given one of those Megabloks ships to convert just a couple of weeks ago. They're surprisingly good given what they are intended for. I just need the time to get out the razor saw, foamcore and textured plastic card and get to work. Best, Mike |

dsFrank, either yoiu do or you dont. I dont get nuns with guns either. Or Elvis. But Pirates and Dinos? Oh yeah. Particularly the more hollywood Pirates. I have read enough of the real ones not to want to have been one certainly. But Pirate games and such, most definately cool. |

And I dont get Ninjas either. But i do have to say I also dont get hanging out on a Pirates board if you dont enjoy Pirates. Not meant as an attack, just an observation that it seems odd. |

Pirates are odd, badger. It's their modus operandi. Also very topical! I can't get enough of the tricorns meself. |
