I'm excited to be able to tell you guys that a Naval Thunder expansion covering the Russo-Japanese war is almost done. We hope to be able to announce its release within the next couple weeks. Barring any last minute changes, it will be released as Naval Thunder: Rise of the Battleship. It consists of data cards for the Russian and Japanese fleets, rules tweaks to the core Clash of Dreadnoughts rules to reflect the differences between the RJW and WWI, and possibly a couple scenarios. The usual roster of historical ships will be included as well. Fans of RJW have Virtualscratchbuilder to thank for making this effort possible. Without his involvement, this product would have appeared MUCH later, if ever. Naval Thunder: Rise of the Battleship requires the core Clash of Dreadnoughts rules to play, and will be offered for the introductory price of $8.95 USD through wargamevault.com. I thought I'd give the TMP community an exclusive head's up. Keep an eye out for a news release in the next couple weeks! |

TheDreadnought, In line with earlier discussions, what did you decide to do with the RJW ships: a) To have the RJW ships compatible with WWI ships? b) To have them only compatible with themselves? c) To have them compatible with other pre-Dreadnoughts in future releases? -- Jeff

The RJW ship data cards are fully compatible with the data cards from Naval Thunder: Clash of Dreadnoughts. We've taken the approach that all data cards from pre-dread through WW2 will be usable with each other. |
