of probability? Three hundred Men at Arms, wearing the finest in Milanese plate, waving the latest in blade technology, backed up by the finest bowmen, with the finest long bows, in Europe crash into a line of Irish peasent mercanaries. Sunjester expected his men to be nothing more than a speed bump. Me – 12 dice 3 hits (on 4+!) Him – 9 dice, 6 hits "Don't worry- you have a 50/50 chance to save" I threw three 3s, a 2 and two 1s. 15th Cent version of the MI evaporate. |

Ahh, see there's the problem, they should have been using heavy lances. Swords just don't cut it. |

I think you're using my dice. That's the problem. BTW you can keep them. |

It depends on the opponent. And remember to always have a safety word. |

I am reminded of a photo from White Dwarf showing Andy Chambers menacingly saying "I think you might want to reroll that." Don't worry about it. It will be your opponent's turn to 'assume the position' soon enough. |

Napoleon's Battles – French Old Guard vs. Russian Opolchenie The phrase "If you lose this, you are the worst wargamer in the World!". A 10 was rolled and a 1 was rolled
The Opolchenie won! :) To be fair, I think that quote was about the whole battle and not just this one fight
A "worst wargamer" was born that night
LOL I need to go to bed

"have a safety word" – you made me spit my coffee out! |

That is the fun of historicals! Things can change based on rolls where you don't have invincible god opponents as in most fantasy games. That is why I use WH historicals even for my fantasy games. |

So, need background on 'safety word' which is not in my vocab. Edit: OK, google gives it up. Bondage term. Boring. |

Bondage term. Boring. I don't think I want to find out what you think is exciting. |

Well, the luck of the Irish really just means we break even
.not really luck, in my opinion, but we get by. I am guaranteed to hit just under half on a fifty percent probability outcome, but I can't roll a one in six save to save my life. Pun definitely intended. |
